Trump leaves door ajar for 3rd term: 'There are ways to do it'

US President Donald Trump made notable statements regarding the possibility of serving a third term as president. In an interview with NBC News, Trump stated that the matter has not yet been clarified, but left the door open to questions about extending the presidential term.

Under the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution, US presidents can serve a maximum of two terms. However, Trump noted that many people support him for a third term, saying, "A lot of people want me to do it, but we are still very early in the administration."

Making one of his clearest statements to date regarding running for a third time, Trump said, "I'm focused on today right now. I love working." When asked if he had been presented with a plan that would allow him to run for a third term, he drew attention by saying, "There are ways you can do it."

When asked by the reporter whether a scenario where Vice President JD Vance runs and then hands over the office to Trump is possible, he brought other possibilities to the agenda by saying, "That could be one of the ways, but there are other ways too."
