Trustee shock in the CHP! First statement from Özgür Çelik

Following an application made by CHP member Özlem Erkan on August 14, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office prepared an indictment against CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik on August 28. However, before the indictment was even accepted and the criminal case had begun, a civil court issued a trustee decision on the second day of the judicial year.

First Statement from Çelik

Following the development, CHP Istanbul Provincial Chair Özgür Çelik made the following statement on his social media account:

“My dear fellow travelers, my phones are locked up. It is not possible for me to return calls and messages. I am heading to our Istanbul Provincial Headquarters to follow and manage the process. The Republican People's Party is the people, it is the home of the people, it is the ancestral hearth. It cannot be taken over!”
