Trustees had been appointed to his companies: Companies co-owned by Aziz İhsan Aktaş remain untouched

New developments have emerged regarding the assets of Aziz İhsan Aktaş, who was held in custody for a period on allegations of being the "leader of a criminal organization" within the scope of the investigation conducted into the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), and was subsequently released after benefiting from effective remorse.

According to the information obtained, while trustees were appointed to 16 companies belonging to Aktaş and all of his assets, some companies in which he is a partner were left untouched.

According to the report by Özgür Cebe from Sözcü, one of the companies that was not seized is Elif-Güven Otoyol İşletmeleri A.Ş., which is linked to the world's third-largest and Europe's largest 76-pump fuel station located on the TEM Highway in Gaziosmanpaşa, Istanbul, as well as a giant shopping mall currently under construction right next to it.

Among the official partners of this company, in addition to Aziz İhsan Aktaş, is Gürkan Dölekli, a close relative of Ahmet Dölekli, the former AKP Mayor of the Pasinler district of Erzurum.

A photograph of Gürkan Dölekli in the same frame as Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek in London in recent years was shared on social media by Selman Reşitoğlu, a businessman from Batman known for his proximity to the government. Reşitoğlu's posts had highlighted Dölekli's luxurious lifestyle.

Another company reported to have had no trustees appointed is Perla Denizcilik Ticaret A.Ş. The partners of this company also include Aziz İhsan Aktaş, Gürkan Dölekli, and Nurettin Cengiz. Perla Denizcilik, which engages in international fuel transportation and trade, is known to operate particularly on the Cyprus route. However, it was learned that the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) did not appoint any trustees to this company either.

Following Aktaş's benefit from effective remorse, Gürkan Dölekli was also briefly detained and then released. It is known that Dölekli is also the owner of the Eliz Hotel, where the AKP's Kızılcahamam camp is held, and is also the boss of Güven Asfalt A.Ş., which has received billions of liras in public tenders.

On the other hand, it was also revealed that in his statement to the prosecutor's office, Aktaş confessed that Nurettin Cengiz was an unofficial partner in the aforementioned giant fuel station.
