Türk-İş holds meeting ahead of minimum wage talks

Türk-İş holds meeting ahead of minimum wage talks

The Türk-İş labor union, which represents the worker side in the Minimum Wage Determination Commission, has decided to convene its Board of Presidents ahead of the third meeting to be held tomorrow.

It was learned that the opinions of the unions regarding the minimum wage will be gathered and Türk-İş's stance will be discussed at the meeting in question.

The process for determining the new minimum wage, which directly concerns 7 million employees and indirectly the entire society, continues.

The Minimum Wage Determination Commission, consisting of representatives from workers, employers, and the government, held its first meeting on December 10 and its second meeting on December 16 as part of the efforts to determine the minimum wage that will be valid in 2025.

The Commission, which has not yet discussed figures, will hold its third meeting on Thursday, December 19, at 11:30 AM, chaired by Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan. Before the meeting, Türk-İş, which represents the worker side in the commission, decided to convene its Board of Presidents.
