The internationally prepared "Global Organized Crime Index 2025" report has been published. In the report, countries were ranked according to the prevalence of organized crime activities, and it was observed that Turkey ranked 10th. While Myanmar topped the list, Colombia and Mexico maintained their positions at the top.

Paraguay, Ecuador, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo also ranked in the top six in the index, which measures the intensity of organized crime activities. It was noted that Turkey was placed 10th, following South Africa, Nigeria, and Lebanon.

MYANMAR RANKED FIRST

According to the report, the country with the highest level of organized crime was Myanmar. Myanmar was followed by Colombia and Mexico. The other countries in the top 10 were listed as Paraguay, Ecuador, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, South Africa, Nigeria, Lebanon, and Turkey.

The report stated that Turkey ranked 10th in the world in terms of organized crime activities. It was noted that Turkey ranked ahead of many European countries on the list.

Following the publication of the index, journalist and economic writer Şeref Oğuz also made a striking post on his social media account. In his post titled "TABLE OF SHAME (25)", Oğuz used the expressions, "We are in the top 10 of the Global Organized Crime Index. What is the explanation for this in the Century of Turkey?"
