Turkish Airlines imposes restrictions on aesthetics and makeup for cabin crew

Turkish Airlines (THY) has taken a significant step by updating its standards regarding the appearance of its cabin crew. With the new decision, aesthetic interventions such as Botox and fillers that significantly alter facial features will no longer be accepted.

The change regarding the appearance of personnel on duty introduces new rules not only for aesthetic procedures but also for makeup. Accordingly, striking and heavy makeup styles have been banned. Cabin crew will henceforth serve with a simple and natural makeup style.

This decision, announced via an official letter issued by the Turkish Airlines management, has caused a wide stir in the industry. With this practice, the company aims for cabin crew to welcome their guests with a natural and simple appearance.

It was stated that inspections will also be tightened following the decision. It was noted that the uniform and appearance standards of cabin crews will be regularly checked within the determined framework in the coming period.
