Turkish truck driver caught in the middle of attacks severely injured! Treatment continues in Iran...

Hüseyin Fırat, a truck driver living in the Reyhanlı district of Hatay, was injured in an attack that occurred in Iran while he was on his way back from Afghanistan. Fırat was severely injured when shrapnel from a missile that fell while he was driving near Tabriz struck his truck, and he was subsequently taken to the hospital.

Fırat, who lives in the Bağlar neighborhood of Reyhanlı and has been working in international transport for many years, set off to return to Turkey after delivering a load he picked up in Istanbul to Afghanistan. While he was reaching the city of Tabriz in Iran, shrapnel from a missile attack that occurred in the region hit the truck Fırat was driving.

The severely injured driver was taken to a hospital in the Iranian city of Zanjan following the incident and placed under treatment.

“I WANT MY SON TO HAVE SURGERY IN TURKEY”

Stating that she is worried about her son's health, his mother Hayriye Fırat described what happened with the following words:

“My son took a load from Istanbul and delivered it to Afghanistan. While returning from Afghanistan, a missile hit in the city of Tabriz, Iran. My son is receiving treatment at Zanjan Hospital in Iran. I am worried about my son's health and I cannot get any news. I felt terrible when I heard about the incident. My son needs to have surgery, but I do not want it to be in Iran. My son is currently in Iran and they said his health condition is critical. I do not want my son to have surgery there. I want my son to receive his treatment in Turkey. I want my son to have surgery in his own country.”
