'Turncoat' polemic: Video shared by Tanju Özcan infuriates AKP Mayor Özlü

A citizen complaining about the decrease in Düzce's greenery, the cleanliness of the city, and its roads shared a video while driving through Bolu.

That video became the agenda for CHP Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan and AKP Düzce Mayor Faruk Özlü.

In the video, the citizen expressed his criticisms with the words, "The trees of Düzce, which was covered in trees everywhere, have been cut down, and the city has been left in trash. Bolu, on the other hand, is spotless; no one throws trash, everyone is respectful. There are trees everywhere, and no one has cut them down."

Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan shared the video the Düzce citizen filmed about Bolu with the note, "I don't know the citizen who is explaining this, but I think he said it very correctly." Tagging Düzce Mayor Faruk Özlü and the AKP in his post, Tanju Özcan greatly angered Özlü.

A harsh response came from Düzce Mayor Faruk Özlü.

Özlü stated, "A 'turncoat' whose party changes we have lost count of has spoken, and another 'turncoat' who does not keep his word has shared it."
