Certificate of election tension in Tuzluca: Shop windows smashed
In the Tuzluca district of Iğdır, tension erupted after the certificate of election was revoked from the CHP candidate who won the March 31 local elections and given to the AKP candidate.
According to the information obtained, in the March 31 elections in the Tuzluca district, CHP mayoral candidate Cemal Kurnaz finished the election in first place with 30 thousand 64 votes according to unofficial results.
However, the election result was declared invalid, and the certificate of election was taken from the CHP candidate and given to the AKP candidate, Ahmet Sait Sedrettin Türkan.
While tension rose in Tuzluca following the decision made by the Supreme Election Council (YSK) without a stated justification, it was stated that the YSK would announce its reasoned decision in the coming days.
Police intervened in the incidents that broke out in the district following the decision, and the windows of many businesses were smashed.
