Two children returning home with water containers killed in water-scarce Gaza
Israel has killed two children, aged 9 and 13, who had gone out to fetch water in the Gaza Strip, where a severe water shortage persists under blockade and intense bombardment.
Palestinian father Yusuf al-Shawish, who lives in the town of Juhor ad-Dik near the border region of the Gaza Strip, stated that his two children, who had gone to fetch water, were killed by Israel.
Reporting that a bomb was dropped very close to their home in the town of Juhor ad-Dik, near the Israeli border in Gaza, al-Shawish said, "As soon as I heard the sound of the explosion, my wife asked, 'Where are the children?' I said, 'They are here,' but when I turned to look, I couldn't see them. When I went outside the house, I saw that both of them had been martyred."
"THESE ARE THE TARGETS ISRAEL ANNOUNCES IT HAS HIT"
Expressing that Israeli bombs had taken 9-year-old Muhammad and 13-year-old Ghazal away from them, the grieving father said, "These are the targets that Israel announces it has hit."
Al-Shawish emphasized that Israeli warplanes can see civilians very clearly.
The Palestinian father stated that their water tank at home was damaged in the Israeli attacks and added the following:
"I had gone to get water with my children, and we were carrying water in containers. Seconds after I returned home with the water containers, I heard the sound of the explosion in which my children were martyred. I couldn't believe what was happening. I am still in a state of great shock."
