Two girls beat disabled shepherd over 'alcohol'; they filmed it while laughing

In an incident that occurred yesterday evening in the Andırın district of Kahramanmaraş, Seçil G. beat shepherd Nail Y. with a stick because he would not buy her alcohol, while her sister M.G. recorded the moments with a mobile phone camera. The sisters were taken into custody following a complaint.

THEY ASKED HIM TO BUY THEM ALCOHOL

Seçil G. approached shepherd Nail Y., who was grazing his animals, and asked him to go to the Akifiye neighborhood and buy her alcohol.

After receiving a negative response, Seçil G. slapped Nail Y. and then began hitting him repeatedly with a stick. Seçil G.'s sister, M.G., recorded those moments with a mobile phone camera.

"FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DON'T HIT ME"

While Nail Y. pleaded, "For the love of God, don't hit me," Seçil G. continued to strike him with the stick. Nail Y. suffered a head injury from the blows.

During this time, Seçil G. was seen saying to her sister, "Look, his brain is bleeding. Look, look at how the blood is coming from his brain, zoom in the camera. Yes friends, our brother Nail's head is bleeding, but it will be fine."

M.G. replied, "Hit his legs, Seçil, hit his legs." Seçil G. continued to hit Nail Y. while occasionally singing folk songs and dancing.

After the two sisters left the area, Nail Y. reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.

THE SISTERS WERE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY

Following the report, Seçil G. and her sister M.G. were taken into custody by gendarmerie teams. Nail Y. was taken to Andırın State Hospital, where he obtained a medical report for his injuries and filed a complaint.

In his statement, he said that the sisters had approached him and asked him to buy them alcohol from the Akifiye neighborhood, and that they beat him when he refused.

It was reported that Seçil G. and her sister M.G. were referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the gendarmerie.

STATEMENT FROM THE FAMILY

Relatives of the disabled shepherd who was beaten to the point of near-death in the rural area of Andırın district spoke out. Bayram Arslan, the son of shepherd Nail Yener's aunt, said, "Because the boy is naive, they asked for alcohol, and when he said he wouldn't bring it, they beat him. Later, one recorded it on camera and the other beat him with a stick. They have no prior issues with Nail; they are constantly together, and whenever there is any work, they have Nail do it. We want the Ministry of Justice and the Presidency to do what is necessary regarding this incident. Whatever is required will be done. We are filing a complaint against these individuals. Nail's condition is very bad; he is hospitalized and is getting a medical report. He is currently not in a condition to walk, and he is a person who doesn't know what he is doing and is easily swayed by 5 liras. It is impossible for him to harass them. He is a naive boy who is not mentally sound. It is impossible for him to be involved in a sexual assault incident."

Nail's cousin, Şinasi Yener, said, "Nail lives under our protection. That day, they asked Nail to buy them alcohol, and he said he couldn't go because the animals would wander off. The girls beat him. We want what is necessary to be done. If you hit an animal with the sticks they had, the animal would die. He cannot even defend himself. He has no issues. They beat him for an hour and a half; the footage in the video is 7-10 minutes. When they were filming the video, there was blood, and he had been beaten before that as well."

DISABLED SHEPHERD ALSO IN CUSTODY

Disabled shepherd Nail Yener was taken into custody following the young women's claim that he "harassed us."
