Ugly offer from Zehra Kınık, who caused the death of 17-year-old Barlasçeki! 'Let's pay whatever the money is'

Fatma Zehra Kınık Demir submitted a petition to the Istanbul Anatolian 9th High Criminal Court through her lawyers, Mustafa Tırtır and Osman Baturhan Dursun. In the petition submitted on June 3, it was requested that "the judicial control decision applied in the form of a travel ban for Fatma Zehra Kınık Demir be lifted by ruling for a security deposit."

SHE REQUESTED THE LIFTING OF THE TRAVEL BAN IN EXCHANGE FOR A SECURITY DEPOSIT

According to the report by İsmail Arı from BirGün; the High Criminal Court panel unanimously rejected Kınık Demir's request on June 12, stating that "the judicial control decision was in accordance with procedure and the law."

Fatma Zehra Kınık Demir, who faced up to 15 years in prison for causing the death of 17-year-old Batın Barlasçeki, had been released to be tried without arrest by the court she was brought before following the accident.

MONEY HAD ALSO BEEN OFFERED TO THE FAMILY

In the case where Fatma Zehra Kınık Demir is being tried, the Forensic Medicine Institute Traffic Specialization Department also prepared a report.

In the report submitted to the Istanbul Anatolian 8th High Criminal Court, it was again stated that Kınık Demir was primarily at fault.

Despite the demands of Batın Barlasçeki's family and their lawyers, Zehra Kınık Demir was not arrested. Furthermore, Barlasçeki's family had previously announced that the Kınık family had offered them money.

In the hearing of the case held on May 26, Fatma Zehra Kınık Demir was sentenced to only 4 years and 2 months in prison.

The court panel ruled that there was no room for the suspension of the sentence or the deferment of the announcement of the verdict due to the amount of the prison sentence given to the defendant, and decided that the judicial control measures applied to the defendant should continue.

Kınık Demir's driver's license was also confiscated for a period of 2 years.
