Uğur Dündar reveals: Loan sharking allegations against Haluk Levent

Following the detention of Ahbap Association President and famous artist Haluk Levent as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the incident is growing with new allegations. In the latest development, veteran journalist Uğur Dündar stated that the investigation into Levent includes allegations of "large-scale loan sharking."

It was announced that Haluk Levent was detained as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Investigation Branch between 2020 and 2026, on charges of 'violation of the Law on Associations,' 'money laundering,' and 'membership in an organization.' It was learned that Levent was apprehended at an address in Bursa and brought to Istanbul.

While Levent's statement is still being taken, various financial transactions are also under investigation as part of the probe. It has been alleged that the artist engaged in betting and suffered losses. According to the claims brought forward, it was reported that Levent placed a total of 990 million liras in bets between 2020 and 2026, lost 390 million liras of this money, and that 120 million liras were transferred from the Ahbap Association's account to his assistant.

With this new development, a new charge has been added to the accusations in Haluk Levent's file. In a statement, journalist Uğur Dündar announced to the public that he has received reliable information suggesting that if the file regarding Levent is deepened, loan sharking activities could be uncovered.
