Ukrainian Foreign Minister Sybiha to visit Turkey: What is on the agenda?
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha will pay his first official visit to Turkey. During his visit, he will hold a meeting with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha will arrive in Turkey on Monday, October 21.
Sybiha, who previously served as Ukraine's Ambassador to Ankara, will meet with Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan during his first official visit to Turkey as Minister. Foreign Minister Fidan will meet with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha on October 21.
Developments in the Russia-Ukraine War are expected to be discussed during the meeting.
During the visit, it is planned to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on the exchange of diplomats between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries, as well as a Consultation Action Plan for the 2025-2026 period.
LAST VISIT AT THE FOREIGN MINISTER LEVEL WAS IN 2020
Within the scope of Turkey-Ukraine relations, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan paid his last visit to Ukraine on August 25, 2023.
The last visit from Ukraine to Turkey at the Foreign Minister level was made by the then-Minister Dmytro Kuleba on December 3, 2020.
Fidan last met with Minister Sybiha, who previously served as Ukraine's Ambassador to Ankara, on the margins of the Ukraine-Southeast Europe Summit held in Dubrovnik on October 9.
