Ukrainian tourist drowns in the sea in Antalya

A foreign national woman who faced the danger of drowning at the beach of a 5-star hotel in Antalya has lost her life at the hospital where she was taken. The woman's body was received by her relatives from the Forensic Medicine Institute and taken to her home country.

The incident occurred on October 1 in the Konaklı neighborhood of Alanya, Antalya. According to the information obtained, Ukrainian citizen Maryna Ostymchuk (58), who entered the sea at the beach of a 5-star hotel located in the Konaklı neighborhood, faced the danger of drowning. Ostymchuk, who was brought to the shore by a lifeguard who noticed the situation, was taken to the hospital by ambulance after initial intervention by 112 Emergency Health teams who arrived at the scene upon notification.

Despite all interventions by doctors, Maryna Ostymchuk could not be saved and lost her life at the hospital where she was taken. The body of Ostymchuk, which was taken to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue to determine the exact cause of death, was received by her relatives this morning following the prosecutor's office procedures there. It was learned that Ostymchuk's body would be taken to her home country, Ukraine, and laid to rest there.
