Ümit Özdağ files 'Kayseri' lawsuit against television channel
Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ has reacted sharply to a chyron he saw on a television channel that accused his party of provocation.
The tension regarding Syrians in Kayseri continues to be a subject of debate. Following the events, protests concerning Syrians took place in many locations across Turkey.
Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ, who has been making posts on his social media account and calling for restraint since the beginning of the incident, reacted to a chyron on a program on Ülke TV where this issue was being discussed and stated that he would file a lawsuit against the channel.
The program's chyron, which claimed that the protests and reactions in Kayseri were a provocation, included the phrase, "How did the CHP and the Zafer Party provoke the events in Kayseri?"
Sharing this image on his account, Özdağ used the following expressions:
"Ülke TV executives, I am waiting with curiosity to see how you will answer the question you wrote on the banner below in court. We will take every rude slander thrown at the Zafer Party to court. Come with your evidence, let's talk."
