Unbelievable incident in Hatay... 'Lan' argument escalated: He bit him in 9 places and tore off his ear

In Hatay, a fight between a passenger and a minibus driver over the word 'lan' was captured on security cameras, and H.T., who bit and tore off the driver's ear during the incident, was arrested by judicial authorities. 

In the footage, the moment the passenger, who attacked the minibus driver, took the money that fell from the driver's pocket and put it in his own pocket, was astonishing.

'LAN' ARGUMENT ESCALATED...

Şefik Vural, who works as a minibus driver in the Erzin district, had a passenger board his vehicle at the last minute as he was about to depart for the 16:00 Erzin-Adana route. When Vural asked the passenger to pay the fare, he received the reply 'take it, lan'. Reacting to the word 'lan', Vural asked 'what's up?' and was met with the passenger's insults.

Angered by the situation, the individual named H.T. attacked Vural, biting the minibus driver in approximately 9 places and beating him. Vural, whose ear was torn off during the struggle, was helped by his colleagues and was saved from the attacker's cruelty thanks to his friends.

HIS EAR COULD NOT BE REATTACHED BECAUSE TOO MUCH TIME HAD PASSED

The moments when Vural was attacked by the passenger and the individual named H.T. took the money that fell from the minibus driver's pocket and put it in his own pocket were reflected on the security camera. Vural, whose ear could not be reattached at the hospital he went to in Adana because too much time had passed, will undergo surgery again in 10 days.

While the individual who committed the act was arrested by the judicial authorities he was brought before, it was learned that the same person had bitten another citizen on the face a few days ago, requiring 5 stitches.

'HE BIT MY BODY IN 8-9 PLACES AND PUNCHED ME'

Minibuses driver Şefik Vural stated that the person who tore off part of his ear also took the money that fell from his pocket and said the following:

"I had a trip to Adana at 4 o'clock. I started the car 5 minutes before, and one more person came before I moved. I opened the door, and he got on, saying he was going to Adana. When I asked for the fare, he gave the money saying 'take it, lan'. When I said 'what's up?', he swore. When I was off guard, he punched me very quickly. After that, he pounced on me. He bit my body in 8-9 places and punched me. He bit and tore off my ear. Finally, my friends came. While my friends were taking him down, the money in my hand fell, and he took that money and put it in his pocket. It is recorded on the cameras, I am filing a complaint to the fullest extent."

Erzin Minibus Cooperative President Caner Erçökük condemned the attack on his colleague, saying, "Even though we tried to calm the situation down, our driver friend named Şefik Vural's ear was torn off. He bit and tore off his ear, and slammed the driver's head against the steering wheel. They couldn't reattach the ear at the hospital; he went to Adana, and they couldn't reattach it there either because time had passed. He will have ear surgery in 10 days. Our friend experienced this unfortunate incident," he said.
