University student Seda Aslan missing for two days
There has been no word from 21-year-old Seda Aslan for two days, and her family's concern is growing. Search efforts to find the young woman are ongoing.
There has been no trace of 21-year-old Seda Aslan, a second-year student in the Special Education Department at Inönü University in Malatya, for two days. Aslan, who left her home on Tuesday morning saying she was "going to school," did not return home in the evening, prompting her family to report the situation to law enforcement out of concern.
It was also noted that Aslan had not been attending classes in recent days. Her family and close circle state that they have received no news from the young student. Seda Aslan's mother, Elif Aslan, described what they have been going through since her daughter went missing:
"We are worried about my daughter's life. She left the house at 06:00 in the morning saying, 'I'm going to school.' She was calm as always; she had no problems. We don't know what happened or how it happened. Her phone was turned off after that time, and we haven't been able to reach her since. We called her friends; they don't know anything either. My daughter was very calm and kept to herself.
We had no problems at home; we weren't experiencing any issues. She was going to her classes; her life was normal. We later learned that she hadn't been to school for a few days. This scared us even more. We don't know how a person can just disappear like this. We have no idea if someone deceived her or if something happened. We just want her to return home safe and sound. If anyone has seen, heard, or knows anything, for the sake of God, please inform the security forces."
Search efforts initiated upon the family's application are continuing. Security forces have intensified their investigations in the area to find Seda Aslan and are evaluating all information and tips that may come regarding the missing young woman.
