Unmanned surface vehicle washes ashore in Ordu
An unmanned surface vehicle (USV) was found on the beach in the Ünye district of Ordu.
The incident occurred on the beach in the Yüceler neighborhood of the district. According to the information obtained, gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area following reports from citizens who noticed an object on the beach.
Upon examination, it was determined that the object was an unmanned surface vehicle (USV).
Security measures were taken by the gendarmerie teams in the area, and the perimeter was cordoned off.
It was learned that after a detailed investigation, the USV would be towed approximately 2 miles offshore and destroyed.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
