A prison sentence of up to 3 years has been requested for former AKUT President Nasuh Mahruki, who was arrested and sent to prison due to posts he made on his social media account. 

A lawsuit has been filed against Mahruki demanding a sentence of 1 to 3 years for the crime of "publicly disseminating misleading information."

An investigation had been launched against Mahruki due to a critical post he made regarding news that the Supreme Election Council (YSK) would switch to electronic voting. 

Nasuh Mahruki will appear before the judge on December 26.
