Vehicle catches fire while driving, becomes unusable!

A car caught fire in the engine compartment while driving in the Gazipaşa district of Antalya.

The vehicle was rendered unusable in the fire.

The incident occurred in the evening hours on Sarıağaç Street in the Korubaşı neighborhood.

According to the information obtained, smoke began to emerge from the engine compartment of the car with license plate 48 E 0624, driven by Güngör Y., as it arrived on Sarıağaç Street. Noticing the smoke, the driver, Güngör Y., stopped the vehicle and reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center.

Upon the report, the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Gazipaşa Fire Department and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.

The fire crews who arrived at the scene extinguished the fire with an early intervention. After cooling efforts were completed, the fire was brought under control, while the car was rendered unusable.

An investigation into the fire has been initiated.
