Vehicle catches fire while driving in Ataşehir

The incident occurred around 23:00 in the Ünalan neighborhood of Ataşehir.

According to allegations, smoke began to emerge from the engine compartment of the Fiat Linea model vehicle with license plate 34 HBK 069, whose driver's name could not be learned, while it was in motion for an unknown reason.

Seeing smoke coming from the vehicle, the driver began to extinguish the car with a fire extinguisher. When flames began to rise from the vehicle in a short time, the driver notified the fire department.

Upon notification, fire and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The fire crews arriving at the scene carried out cooling efforts. While the vehicle became unusable following the fire, police teams launched an investigation into the incident.
