Vehicle crashes into bridge pier in Şanlıurfa: 2 dead
Two people lost their lives in a traffic accident in Şanlıurfa when a car lost control and crashed into the pier of an overpass.
In the accident that occurred on the GAP Boulevard section of the Şanlıurfa - Diyarbakır highway, a car whose driver could not be identified crashed into the pier of an overpass after the driver lost steering control.
2 PEOPLE DIED AT THE SCENE
Following the tragic accident, police, medical, AFAD, and fire department teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. The bodies of the 2 people who were trapped in the vehicle and determined to have lost their lives were extracted with difficulty by fire and AFAD teams and taken to the Şanlıurfa Forensic Medicine Institute morgue.
An investigation into the accident has been launched.
