Vehicle tracking device era begins for intercity buses
The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has made the use of vehicle tracking devices mandatory for intercity buses. With the system implemented under the Road Transport Regulation, the Ministry will be able to monitor the real-time movements of vehicles.
Within the scope of the application initiated by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, vehicle tracking devices have begun to be used on intercity buses. With the system implemented under the Road Transport Regulation, the Ministry will be able to monitor the real-time movements of vehicles.
Driver Erhan Elibol stated in his statement to the AA correspondent that the tracking system was installed in their vehicle about 4 days ago. Finding the application appropriate, Elibol stated that the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure would be able to control the movements of all vehicles in real time.
Elibol said that the Ministry would be able to easily audit the working and rest hours of the personnel, and that thanks to the system, factors such as the vehicle's speed limit, how many hours the driver has rested or worked, and passenger boarding and alighting could be monitored. Emphasizing that this system is important in terms of life safety, Elibol said, "The most important thing is the life safety of the passengers. That is why this system is important."
Another driver, Emin Ona, stated that this work carried out by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure is quite important. Noting that the location and speed of the vehicles could be controlled, Ona recorded that they, as drivers, are satisfied with this application.
