Vehicle with brake failure left hanging over a ravine! Disabled individual rescued

The incident occurred on a marble quarry road in Sorgun Neighborhood, approximately 50 kilometers from the district center. According to the information received, the light commercial vehicle with license plate 33 VPC 39, driven by Zeynep A., rolled backward down the hill when its brakes failed.

The vehicle went off the road and remained hanging on a rocky area where three roads intersect, without falling into the ravine. While the driver managed to get out on her own, her disabled spouse remained trapped.

Upon notification, teams from the Güzeloluk Gendarmerie Station Command, which were close to the scene of the accident, were dispatched.

Gendarmerie teams and marble quarry workers carried out a rescue operation for the disabled citizen trapped in the hanging vehicle. The vehicle was secured with the help of a loader, and then the stones preventing the door from opening were cleared, and the trapped citizen was rescued.

The driver of the vehicle, Zeynep A., stated that the brakes did not hold and the vehicle rolled backward, and she thanked the teams for their help. One of the workers, Azim Uslu, noted that the gendarmerie and the workers rescued the citizen inside the vehicle and that their health condition was good.
