Verdict in Uğur Dündar's paternity case
The paternity lawsuit filed against journalist Uğur Dündar by Dilara G. has been completely concluded by a Supreme Court ruling. In accordance with the report prepared by the Council of Forensic Medicine, no biological link was found, and the case was definitively dismissed.
The final verdict has been reached in the paternity lawsuit filed against Uğur Dündar by Dilara G., the older sister of Duygu Nebioğlu. As a result of the DNA test conducted by the Council of Forensic Medicine, it was determined that there is no biological link between Dündar and Dilara G. Following this scientific report, the file was moved to the Supreme Court.
The 2nd Civil Chamber of the Supreme Court upheld the dismissal decisions of both the local court and the appellate court. In the decision dated June 25, 2025, with case number 2025/4545 and decision number 2025/6464, it was stated that the "paternity claim consisted of nothing but slander."
Following the decision, Uğur Dündar made a statement on his social media account, reiterating that the DNA tests performed by the Council of Forensic Medicine from the very beginning of the process had rejected any biological link. Dündar expressed that he and his family had experienced serious psychological difficulties during this legal process and had been subjected to unfair public pressure.
Stating that these claims, which were put forward without any concrete evidence, were untrue, Dündar emphasized his unwavering faith in the judiciary, saying, "During the court process, I was faced with an imaginary claim without any concrete evidence being presented."
With the Supreme Court's decision, the case has been completely closed. Following this development, Dündar announced that he would file comprehensive compensation lawsuits against those who slandered him and those who continued to maintain untrue statements despite the scientific reports. With the finalization of the decision, he announced that he would file heavy compensation lawsuits against those who slandered him and those who continued to persist with baseless claims despite the scientific results.
