Very harsh words from Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu to Tanju Özcan: 'Keep your grudge alive and be afraid!'

Claims surfaced that former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu had answered "yes" to a question from journalist Vedat Yenerer: "It is being discussed that at least 50 deputies are loyal to you within the party. Is this true?" Making a statement regarding the news, Kılıçdaroğlu denied this claim, saying, "I have never made such a statement," and added: "In the CHP, all deputies are loyal to the party. Not to individuals. I have never had a sentence like '50 deputies are loyal to me.' Such a thing is not possible in the CHP."

Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan, a member of the CHP, disregarded Kılıçdaroğlu's denial and posted the following message on his social media account: "I am saying this to remind you... This time last year, I was marching to Ankara under the name of CHANGE! Almost everyone was silent! The person whose chair I threw at the end of the march is showing his love for the seat both at the Convention and with what he is doing now! He has 50 loyal deputies! Are you God, or a cult leader? What does a loyal deputy mean?"

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu responded to Tanju Özcan, who did not take into account the denial text he published, with a very harsh message. 

Saying, "I am answering you for the first and last time," Kılıçdaroğlu wrote the following: 

“Look at what you are saying, even though I denied a statement I did not make and even the fake news that came out.

What you have done has no place in our party ethics or our culture.

The deputies of the Republican People's Party are only loyal to the Constitution and the nation.

You used expressions amounting to insults, I remained silent.

You threw the chair representing the office of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, I remained silent.

But they say that putting a rude person in their place is like clothing forty orphans...

You are like a loose cannon. You have lost your balance.

With these statements, you are putting the party in a difficult position...

No one is saying it, let me say it; 

Pull yourself together...

Tanju, how much grudge you have inside...

Keep your grudge alive and be afraid!

"UNFORTUNATELY, YOU ARE THE CAUSE, ERDOĞAN IS THE RESULT"

Tanju Özcan made a new post following the response given to him by former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and used the phrases, 'Unfortunately, you are the cause, Erdoğan is the result.'

I have no special grudge or hatred towards you. I have anger because you have been unsuccessful for 13 years and have darkened our future and our children's future for the sake of your love for the seat.

I have intense anger because you condemned us to the Erdoğan rule that has lasted a quarter of a century.

Despite so much economic hardship and failures in foreign policy, I cannot digest that you could not defeat this incompetent Erdoğan and made millions of young people, including my son, cry.

Also, I marched to Ankara for change and I saw this action as a democratic right. The chair I threw was my own chair. Let's not distort the subject. You were never an Atatürkist, you filled the party with people transferred from the right.

I have never known anyone who lies as much as you do in my life, party members know this too. Also, you said don't come to my funeral; if you pass away before me, I will not come to that funeral because when the imam asks for the right of blessing, I cannot say "I grant my right."

I also do not believe that you have many rights over me as you claim. I am a deputy who has come through primary elections twice, and I am someone who has won the Bolu Municipality, where Tayyip Erdoğan received 65% of the votes, twice with record votes. Also, please watch your tone; you have retired, spend time with your grandchildren, not with general politics.

If you care about the party even a little bit, try solving newspaper puzzles instead of dealing with those who are successful in politics like me.

POST FROM CHP SPOKESPERSON DENİZ YÜCEL REGARDING THE DISPUTE

CHP's Yücel made a statement on social media regarding the dispute between former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and Bolu Mayor Tanju Özcan and used the phrase, "We will evaluate the matter in our party's authorized bodies." 

DENİZ YÜCEL MADE THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT:

We have witnessed with sadness that our Bolu Mayor, Mr. Tanju Özcan, used hurtful and offensive expressions that exceed the limits of criticism on social media towards our former Chairman, Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. 

The Republican People's Party is the party of people who are loyal to Republican values, Atatürk's Principles and Revolutions, and who love their country and nation. The deputies of the Republican People's Party are also loyal not to individuals, but primarily to our Constitution, our nation, and the ideas and values our party defends.  

Every thought can be expressed freely, provided that it remains within the limits of criticism and respect. However, we never approve of posts being made with a tone that exceeds the limits of criticism regarding the former CHP Chairman, whoever they may be, regardless of their duty or position. 

Mr. Kılıçdaroğlu has denied the expressions attributed to him that caused a reaction in the public. Despite this, we do not see the statements aimed at fueling the issue as well-intentioned. We will evaluate the matter in our party's authorized bodies.
