Veteran journalist writes: Why hasn't Erdoğan visited Bahçeli?

MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli has been away from the field for weeks due to health issues. It has been learned that the party's group meeting will not be held this week either. Veteran journalist Tolga Şardan, who penned a column on Bahçeli's health, reminded that President Erdoğan has still not paid a get-well-soon visit to Bahçeli.

Veteran journalist writes: Why hasn't Erdoğan visited Bahçeli?

MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli's health problems have been on the agenda for weeks. Although the party administration stated recently that "He will return to his duties in a short time," it has emerged that the MHP Group Meeting will not be held this week either.

The fact that the meeting will not be held despite the statement has raised questions. Another point that increases these questions is that Erdoğan has still not paid a get-well-soon visit to Bahçeli. Veteran journalist Tolga Şardan interpreted this situation in his column on T24 with the words, "It means Bahçeli is not ready for a get-well-soon visit," and wrote the following:

"The health status of MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli has been one of Ankara's important agenda items for the last two weeks.

There is curiosity regarding the health status of Bahçeli, whose heart valve is said to have been replaced.

Whether they are involved in politics or not, almost everyone in the capital has this curiosity.

The public can be informed about the MHP Chairman's health status in light of both his own direct posts and the information provided by those who meet with him personally.

However, the process has taken such a shape that; being curious about the MHP Chairman's health status is almost equivalent to treason.

In Turkey, the health status of political party leaders is of interest to everyone from 7 to 70 who breathes in this geography, whoever they may be.

Why does it draw such a reaction to be curious about the status of MHP Chairman Bahçeli, rather than being curious about the health status of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan or CHP Chairman Özgür Özel?

Furthermore, let me remind you that President Erdoğan has not yet visited Bahçeli, who is said to have started to recover after his health problem. It means Bahçeli is not ready for a get-well-soon visit.

Almost everyone who meets with Bahçeli has adopted the habit of sending messages to the masses in their social media posts by seemingly equating information with treason for a while now.

The approach of the MHP community can be understood to a certain extent. Bahçeli means a lot to the nationalist community.

However, those who were AKP members before the People's Alliance and spoke in a way that insulted the MHP Chairman have also been affected by this trend.

Those who know Bahçeli closely state that he is not happy with such approaches, but on the contrary, he is saddened.

Without forgetting, let me convey that some incorrect information regarding the health status that saddens Bahçeli's supporters is being whispered by some names in the alliance partner.

Finally, I leave it to you to evaluate how the timing, target audience, and purpose of the announcement by the MHP Headquarters that Chairman Bahçeli has launched a 'wheat on hold' campaign should be assessed in Ankara's 'secret agenda'."
