AKP Women's Branch Chair's remarks to Erdoğan become a talking point

A dialogue between AKP Chairman and President Erdoğan and Hatice Turap Yüksel, the Ordu Ulubey District Women's Branch Chair, has drawn attention.

Erdoğan held a meeting in Ankara with his party's provincial, district, and municipal mayors from Ordu. The praise directed at Erdoğan by Ulubey District Women's Branch Chair Hatice Turap Yüksel, who took the floor at the meeting, drew reactions.

"WE NEED THEIR LIFESPAN"

In response to Yüksel's words, "When we spoke face-to-face, there was one sentence I wanted to say. May God take from my children's lifespan and add it to yours," Erdoğan replied, "No, we need their lifespan."

Responding to Erdoğan's reply, Yüksel then stated, "But we need your lifespan much more, Mr. President."

Sharing these moments on social media, Yüksel noted the following:

“We conveyed the greetings and love of our fellow citizens from Ulubey to the esteemed Chairman of our sacred cause, the AK Party, and the President of our Republic of Türkiye, our World Leader Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and promised that we would work day and night to receive the highest number of votes in Ordu and Ulubey in the March 31, 2024 local elections.”
