Armed clash with Kalashnikovs, stones, and sticks in Diyarbakır

The incident occurred at the Küme Houses in the Talaytepe neighborhood of Necmettin Erbakan Boulevard in the central Kayapınar district. According to the information received, DEDAŞ teams and the neighborhood headman went together to the Küme Houses, which had been without electricity for about two weeks, to carry out transformer renovations and illegal usage checks. 

During this time, a group with whom the neighborhood headman, Emin G., had a feud came face-to-face with the headman's relatives. The parties, who began arguing there, clashed with Kalashnikovs, handguns, stones, and sticks.

While 9 vehicles were set on fire during the fight, numerous medical and police teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. The 9 people injured in the incident—7 by gunfire and 2 by battery—were taken to Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital after receiving initial intervention.

On the other hand, police officers were attacked by the relatives of the suspects while they were placing the suspects involved in the incident into a police vehicle.

An investigation into the incident has been launched.
