Car engulfed in flames on bridge
A car was engulfed in flames on the 15 July Martyrs Bridge. The fire was extinguished, but the incident caused heavy traffic congestion.
Smoke suddenly began to rise from a vehicle traveling in the direction of Ankara on the 15 July Martyrs Bridge. The driver, noticing the situation, pulled the vehicle to the side of the road and attempted to intervene with a fire extinguisher. Other drivers rushed to help, but the flames quickly engulfed the car.
Upon notification, police and fire crews were dispatched to the area. While the police took security measures in the vicinity, heavy traffic formed in the direction of Ankara. The fire crews, who had difficulty reaching the scene due to the traffic, extinguished the fire and then carried out cooling operations.
Traffic flow returned to normal after the police completed their investigation and the vehicle, which sustained extensive damage, was removed from the road.
