Confession-like statement from AKP's Tayyar on IMM and trustee: 'If one wasn't appointed, it's thanks to us'

Şamil Tayyar made assessments regarding the current agenda during a program he attended.

While stating that he did not find the arrest of Ekrem İmamoğlu to be correct, Tayyar also made noteworthy remarks regarding the trustee allegations.

As a guest on the program 'Sorgusuz Sualsiz' (Without Question or Inquiry) broadcast on Ekol TV, Şamil Tayyar evaluated the CHP's high-profile Yozgat rally with the following words:

"The participation in the CHP's Yozgat rally was not just from people living in Yozgat. There was also bused-in attendance. But regardless of that, no matter how much outside participation there was, it is significant that the CHP held a rally in a place like Yozgat.

Frankly, I am someone who finds the CHP's decision to take its politics to the squares after the İmamoğlu issue to be extremely positive.

When the political institution feels overwhelmed, the best place to go is the embrace of the nation.

The embrace of the nation is like a mother's embrace. It is a very broad medium where you can confide your troubles and lean your head on a shoulder when you are overwhelmed."

"IF A TRUSTEE WASN'T APPOINTED, IT'S THANKS TO US"

Speaking about the potential imprisonment of İmamoğlu, Tayyar stated that he did not find such a decision correct, saying, "This process could have been continued without arresting İmamoğlu." Tayyar also addressed the trustee allegations, stating, "If a trustee has not been appointed to the IMM, it is thanks to sensitive people like us."
