Driver who caused chaos in traffic in Kartal, Istanbul, could not escape penalty
The driver, who endangered traffic by performing maneuvers with his vehicle in Kartal, was fined 14 thousand 258 liras, and the car was banned from traffic.
Istanbul Police Department Traffic Inspection Branch Directorate teams launched an investigation after footage of a driver endangering traffic safety by performing consecutive maneuvers with his car on the Kartal coastal road was shared on social media.
Identifying the driver from the vehicle's license plate information, the teams apprehended O.M.
COULD NOT ESCAPE PENALTY
The driver was issued a total administrative fine of 14 thousand 258 liras, including 6 thousand 439 liras for "weaving through traffic," 690 liras for "driving disrespectfully," 690 liras for "not following the vehicle ahead at a sufficient and safe distance," and 6 thousand 439 liras for "using an exhaust not in compliance with regulations."
While the car was banned from traffic, judicial proceedings were initiated against the driver O.M. for the crime of "endangering traffic safety."
