Drunk driver causes terror in Bursa: 1 dead, 2 injured
One person lost their life and two others were injured after a car struck individuals who had stepped out of their vehicle in the right lane to change a tire in Bursa.
The incident occurred around 23:00 in Bursa.
The tire of a car with license plate 16 CRK 46, whose driver has not been identified, blew out near the Ovaakça neighborhood on Istanbul Road Street.
The 3 people in the vehicle pulled the car over to the right lane and attempted to repair the tire after placing a reflector on the road.
At that moment, a car with license plate 16 APE 719, driven by İbrahim Ü., struck those waiting in the right lane and their vehicle.
Emir Faruk A. (25), Sinan Atahan, and Serhat Kaplan were injured in the accident.
Due to the force of the impact, the car driven by İbrahim Ü. dragged the vehicle it hit for some distance.
Medical teams determined that Emir Faruk A. had lost his life, while the other injured individuals were taken to Bursa City Hospital.
It was alleged that the driver, İbrahim Ü., who escaped the accident without injury, was under the influence of alcohol.
