Erdoğan's video New Year's message: 'The 2023 goals were just the beginning...'

AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has released a New Year's message.

Erdoğan used the following expressions in his video message:

“My dear nation, I greet you all with my most heartfelt feelings and affection. Tonight, we are concluding the year 2023 and stepping into 2024. I wish for the new calendar year to be auspicious for our country, our nation, and all of humanity.

In fact, we believe that every new year should be welcomed with joy, hope, and excitement. However, we are entering this new year with a heavy heart, both due to the adversities in our region and the world, and because of the martyrs we have recently laid to rest. We certainly maintain our hope for a more beautiful, peaceful, and prosperous future for all of humanity.

“WE ARE STRIVING TO BRING PEACE EFFORTS IN OUR REGION TO A SUCCESSFUL CONCLUSION”

For this, we must first see that the so-called democratic and freedom-loving countries stop their support for bloodthirsty terrorist organizations. For this, we must first see that all countries and institutions take a common stance against the slaughter of innocent children and women in Gaza. For this, we must first see that fair and sincere efforts are made to stop conflicts, especially the Russia-Ukraine war, which plunge individuals into pain and waste the resources of nations.

For this, we must first see that the wealth of societies that have been exploited and whose dignity has been trampled upon for centuries is used for their own future, prosperity, and security. In short, to turn hopes into reality, we must ensure that all countries, institutions, and individuals in the world unite around common values and principles.

As Türkiye, we represent a different place, a different mission, and a different understanding in this global picture. As a state and a nation, we are not just struggling to achieve our own security and prosperity. With the understanding that we cannot find peace ourselves unless a climate of peace prevails in the world and our region, we wish for the same standards for everyone.

With this understanding, we are striving to bring peace efforts in our region to a successful conclusion. We are developing our relations with our friends in every field. We share the troubles of our brothers and sisters. We support every effort aimed at preparing the world for a better, fairer, and more prosperous future.

“THE UNJUST AND UNBALANCED GLOBAL GOVERNANCE SYSTEM IS EXPERIENCING ITS FINAL STRUGGLES”

At a time when we have finished the first century of our Republic and are stepping into its new century, which we call the Century of Türkiye, we are constantly reinforcing our determination and effort as we aim for greater goals. We believe that the oppression of the tyrant will not last forever. We believe that the unjust and unbalanced global governance system is experiencing its final struggles. We believe that the voice of the oppressed is deeply enveloping the entire world and that these cries will grow to become the common conscience of humanity. Indeed, we see that Türkiye's statements and attitudes, which address all of humanity along with its own citizens, friends, and brothers, are finding more and more resonance in hearts.

My dear nation, of course, we constantly face new trials, new difficulties, and new obstacles on this arduous path. At the root of the problems we experience in many areas, from the fight against terrorism to economic traps, is the goal of preventing the construction of a great and powerful Türkiye. As long as we, as a country, continue to use our potential and resources effectively, this struggle will become even more intense.

Because the growth of Türkiye means that the calculations of those who have been freely running wild all around us for centuries, thanks to our stumbling, are being disrupted. Our strengthening means the end of the order of those who use everyone else as a tool for their own prosperity and security, those who exploit and oppress. Our voice being heard more means the strengthening of the search for rights, justice, freedom, and conscience everywhere in the world.

Our nation has never hesitated to pay the price, make sacrifices, or take responsibility to achieve its goals at any period in its history. The strong stance our nation has displayed in the face of many critical events we have experienced in the last 21 years shows that this determination continues today.

“THE RISE OF OUR RED AND WHITE FLAG WILL ALWAYS CONTINUE”

Yes, I want to repeat it once again here. As long as our nation protects its unity, solidarity, and brotherhood, no one will be able to divide us, with God's permission. As our state implements the Century of Türkiye vision, which is the next phase of the 2023 goals, the rise of our red and white flag will always continue, with God's permission.

As we continue to give confidence to our friends and fear to our enemies with our political, economic, military, and diplomatic successes, the fog ahead will gradually disperse. In short, as long as we do not compromise on our independence and our future, no one will be able to stand in the way of our sacred march.

In the past, we lost a lot of time, a lot of energy, and a lot of people to tutelage forces, coup plotters, terrorist organizations, and political and social engineering projects that were unleashed upon us as tools of imperialists. We are fed up with these tricks, and we have no intention of paying such heavy bills. It has been a long time since we parted ways with those who kept our country busy with its own internal struggles and deprived it of its historical heritage and the opportunities it should possess. This is the meaning of our motto that we repeat at every opportunity: 'One Nation, One Flag, One State, One Homeland'.

Hopefully, 2024 will be a year in which we get rid of the troubled period that started with the coup attempt, grew with the COVID-19 pandemic, and deepened with the conflicts in our region, and in which we lock onto our goals. In a period where global crises continue to increase, we will once again show our difference and raise the star of a Türkiye that produces, employs, grows, and develops.

Yes, the 2023 goals were just the beginning; we are launching our true breakthrough with the Century of Türkiye, starting in 2024. We wholeheartedly believe that we will lead this struggle to victory with your support.
