Fog alert in the Dardanelles
Transit ship passages in the Dardanelles have been temporarily suspended due to 'dense fog.' The fog, which intensified off the coast of the strait toward morning, reduced visibility at sea.
The Dardanelles Vessel Traffic Services Directorate has warned captains of ships arriving from the north and south via radio, temporarily suspending two-way transit ship traffic.
It was stated that ship traffic will return to normal once the fog loses its effect, while local ferry services continue as scheduled.
