Fog and black ice cause pile-up in Elazığ
Four people were injured in a pile-up involving 4 vehicles, including an ambulance, due to fog and black ice in Elazığ.
The accident occurred in the Yarımca area on the Kovancılar-Elazığ road. According to the information obtained, an ambulance in motion struck the vehicle in front of it due to fog and black ice, causing it to overturn.
On the road where visibility had dropped due to dense fog, 2 vehicles coming from behind were also able to stop only after colliding with the vehicles in front of them.
Upon notification by witnesses to the accident, 112 emergency health services, fire department, and security forces were dispatched to the scene. The 4 people injured in the accident were taken to the hospital by ambulances after receiving initial medical intervention.
An investigation into the accident has been initiated.
