Footage of the detention of IMM Medya A.Ş. Chairman Murat Ongun has emerged

According to information obtained, investigations initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office are ongoing. These include charges against IMM Mayor İmamoğlu and 99 other suspects for "managing a criminal organization," "membership in a criminal organization," "extortion," "bribery," "qualified fraud," "unlawful acquisition of personal data," and "rigging tenders," as well as charges against 7 suspects, including İmamoğlu, IMM Deputy Secretary General Mahir Polat, and Şişli Mayor Resul Emrah Şahan, for "aiding the PKK/KCK terrorist organization."

Footage has emerged showing the moment Murat Ongun, for whom a detention warrant was issued as part of the investigation, was taken into custody by teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Financial Crimes Investigation Bureau. The teams went to Ongun's home and informed him of the warrant. The warrant document was examined by his lawyer. Ongun was also informed that a search would be conducted at the residence, and the process was recorded.

87 SUSPECTS IN CUSTODY

It has been determined that 83 suspects, including IMM Mayor İmamoğlu, have been detained as part of the corruption investigation, while 10 suspects are at large and 7 are abroad.

Meanwhile, in the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office for aiding the PKK/KCK terrorist organization, it was determined that 4 out of 7 suspects, including İmamoğlu, have been detained, while 3 suspects remain at large.
