He killed his father and fled, then reported the murder by phone: 'I stabbed my father, he might be dead'

The incident occurred around 21:00 at a house located on 3080 Street in the Bozyaka neighborhood of the district. According to the information obtained, B.İ. called the 112 Emergency Call Center and reported that he had stabbed his father and that he might be dead.

Upon the report, an investigation at the house determined that the father, Cihan İnan, had lost his life after sustaining three stab wounds to his back. B.İ., who fled the scene after stabbing his father, was caught and taken into custody shortly after on another street near the area.

The body of the father, who fell victim to filicide, was taken to the İzmir Forensic Medicine Institute morgue following an examination by the prosecutor.

KILLED DUE TO AN ARGUMENT

On the other hand, it was alleged that in his initial statement at the police station, B.İ. said that his parents had argued about a month ago, that he had not spoken to his father during that time, and that he had an argument with his father at home at the time of the incident, committing the murder as that argument escalated.
