İmamoğlu mimics Erdoğan on live broadcast: 'You even made your voice the same'

Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu answered questions from journalists Uğur Dündar, İsmail Saymaz, Deniz Zeyrek, and İpek Özbey, moderated by Senem Toluay Ilgaz on Sözcü TV.

Making statements regarding the current agenda, İmamoğlu mimicked AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during one part of the program. 

Explaining his activities at the municipality, İmamoğlu said, "Nearly 500 thousand mothers with children aged 0-4 travel for free in this city with their children. There is no other example of this in the world."

"YOU EVEN MADE YOUR VOICE THE SAME"

Continuing his remarks in reference to Erdoğan, İmamoğlu said, "When I said on the campaign trail in 2019, 'I will implement this,' they asked, 'Whose money are you giving to whom?'", causing the studio to burst into laughter. The journalists told İmamoğlu, who was mimicking Erdoğan, "You even made your voice the same." İmamoğlu replied, "It happens sometimes, don't ask."
