COLLAPSE SOUND HEARD
During this time, the retaining wall belonging to the garden of the 5-story apartment building next to the foundation collapsed. Following this, the residents of the apartment building evacuated the building as a precaution. Apartment manager Tuncay Erkova stated that they went outside after hearing the sounds of the collapse, saying,
"After the landslide, the retaining wall behind our apartment collapsed. Neighbors warned us when they heard the sounds of the collapse. The teams that arrived at the scene asked us to evacuate the building as a precaution."
