President Erdoğan travels to official dinner in Pakistan by horse-drawn carriage

President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited Pakistan following stops in Malaysia and Indonesia as part of his Asia tour. Welcomed with an official ceremony by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during his contacts in Pakistan, Erdoğan participated in bilateral and inter-delegation meetings following the ceremony. During the subsequent Seventh Meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council, President Erdoğan and Sharif signed a declaration on the "Deepening, Diversification and Institutionalization of the Strategic Partnership" to strengthen relations between the two countries. Additionally, a total of 24 cooperation agreements were signed in areas such as trade, finance, defense, science and technology, energy, information and broadcasting, education, health, food security, water resources, and religious affairs.

As part of his official contacts, Erdoğan met with President Asif Ali Zardari at the Presidential Palace in Islamabad and also received Pakistan's service commanders.
