President Erdoğan's 'healing recipe' also falls victim to inflation: A 178 percent increase

While the rise in inflation rates continues to climb at an unstoppable pace, the ongoing debate over the minimum wage is also being followed with great interest.

While the figures being discussed do not satisfy the citizens, a striking example came from New Welfare Party MP Aşıla.

Reminding the public of a recipe shared by AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in 2022, Aşıla laid bare the state of the country's economic crisis with the figures he provided.

Recalling Erdoğan's words, "Every evening, I put Medjool dates, chestnut honey, and oats into a bowl of buffalo yogurt," the MP stated that the cost of this healing recipe at that time was 405 TL.

Mehmet Aşıla pointed out that if we wanted to make this recipe today, we would have to pay 1,229 TL, noting that the increase in question is 178 percent. 

Aşıla continued his remarks by saying, "Can there be such an increase in the economy? In the face of such a picture, I can only say, have some conscience."
