Road rager who attacked female driver in Başakşehir arrested
In Istanbul's Başakşehir district, a road rager named Serkan Z., who attacked a female driver's vehicle and broke her side mirror, was initially released but was later arrested and sent to prison following an appeal by the Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
In an incident that occurred on February 17 in Başakşehir, two drivers argued in traffic on the Northern Marmara Motorway due to a right-of-way dispute. Following the argument, one of the drivers cut off the other and attacked the vehicle.
The moments when the road rager hit the hood and windows of the female driver's car and subsequently broke the mirror were captured on a mobile phone camera. The suspect, identified as Serkan Z., was apprehended by police teams and initially released by judicial authorities after being referred to court on charges of "property damage," "threats," and "insult."

INITIALLY RELEASED, THEN ARRESTED UPON APPEAL
Serkan Z., who was apprehended in a short time by police teams, was referred to the courthouse on charges of "property damage," "threats," and "insult." However, he was released by judicial authorities.
The Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office appealed the release decision and requested his re-arrest. Following the evaluation, Serkan Z. was arrested and sent to prison.
