Security camera footage of the Metrobus accident in Beylikdüzü released: Passengers fell to the ground
Security camera footage has emerged of the Metrobus accident in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul, which resulted in 1 death and left 20 people injured, 2 of them seriously.
The accident occurred at approximately 16:00.
According to the information obtained, a Metrobus traveling in the direction of Büyükçekmece rear-ended another Metrobus moving in the same direction at the Haramidere Sanayi station.
In the accident, a passenger named Ebru Heper (37) lost her life, while 20 passengers were injured, 2 of them seriously.
While investigations into the accident continue, security camera footage of the moment of the incident has emerged.
The footage shows passengers falling to the ground as a result of the other Metrobus rear-ending the one at the station while passengers were boarding and alighting.
The moments when some passengers, who fell to the ground due to the impact causing the Metrobus to move, were trapped under the vehicle were also captured on the security camera footage.
