Shock raids on career criminals in Istanbul and Kırklareli! Many individuals taken into custody

Teams from the Istanbul Public Security Branch Office's Wanted Persons Bureau took 75 people into custody between November 6 and November 13, 2023, as part of an operation to apprehend convicts with finalized prison sentences. The individuals were wanted for crimes including 'child sexual abuse,' 'deprivation of liberty,' 'theft,' 'fraud,' and 'robbery.' 

Among the suspects handed over to police stations, it was learned that 25-year-old Ferhat G., who has 15 prior criminal records, was sentenced to 21 years and 9 months for 'deprivation of liberty'; 34-year-old Emrah A., with 56 prior records, was sentenced to 18 years for 'theft'; 22-year-old Emir T., with 15 prior records, was sentenced to 17 years and 7 months for 'theft'; 24-year-old İbrahim G., with 31 prior records, was sentenced to 16 years for 'theft'; 31-year-old Sergen K., with 10 prior records, was sentenced to 15 years and 1 month; 52-year-old Özgür D., with 5 prior records, was sentenced to 13 years for 'fraud'; 37-year-old Celal Y., with 8 prior records, was sentenced to 12 years and 6 months for 'theft'; 65-year-old Hakkı B. was sentenced to 12 years for 'child sexual abuse'; 71-year-old İsmail O., with 8 prior records, was sentenced to 12 years and 10 months for 'theft'; 60-year-old Mustafa C. was sentenced to 11 years and 8 months for 'qualified robbery'; 49-year-old Eyüp G., with 4 prior records, was sentenced to 10 years and 5 months for 'armed robbery'; and 34-year-old Kenan D., with 30 prior records, was sentenced to 10 years for 'theft.'

The 75 wanted convicts apprehended across Istanbul as a result of the one-week operation were delivered to prisons following their processing at police stations.

Meanwhile, 78 wanted suspects who had been convicted of crimes were also taken into custody by teams from the Kırklareli Police Department's Public Security Branch Office, Wanted Persons Bureau. 42 of the suspects were delivered to prison.
