New footage continues to emerge from the February 6 earthquakes in Hatay, where many buildings were leveled and approximately 25 thousand people lost their lives.

Records from the security cameras at the fishermen's shelter in the Karacami neighborhood of the Payas district have surfaced just days before the anniversary of the earthquake disaster. In the footage, it was seen that the boats, skiffs, and dinghies standing on the shore rocked like cradles during the earthquake. The foaming of the seawater before the earthquake was reflected on camera second by second.

"I SAW THE INTENSITY OF THE EARTHQUAKE IN THE CAMERA RECORDS"

Fishermen's Shelter President Salih Özbek (56) stated that the magnitude of the earthquake was reflected in the camera records, saying, “We were caught in the February 6 earthquake at home. The shaking the earthquake caused in the house was immense. Thank God, nothing happened to our home. After we pulled ourselves together, I came to the shore to check on the boats. Nothing happened to the boats on land or in the sea. I went to the shelter and watched the retrospective camera records. I saw the intensity and magnitude of the earthquake in the camera records. Thank God we got through those difficult days. May God never let us see such days again.”
