Traffic accident in Şanlıurfa: 3 dead, 2 injured

According to the information obtained, the accident occurred in the evening hours near the rural neighborhood of Çamlıdere on the Şanlıurfa-Mardin highway. The car with license plate 47 ACU 204, driven by Mehmet Sümer and traveling from Şanlıurfa towards Viranşehir, drove under the semi-truck with license plate 47 AAH 185, which was attempting to make a turn at an intersection. Due to the accident, numerous ambulance, fire department, police, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area.

3 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES AT THE SCENE

In the tragic accident, the driver of the car trapped under the truck, Mehmet Sümer, as well as Muharrem Güzel and Sefa Sabuncu, lost their lives. The bodies were removed from the vehicle by fire department crews and taken to the Şanlıurfa Forensic Medicine Institute morgue by hearse.

Burhan S. and Ahmet U., who were seriously injured, were taken to Harran University Faculty of Medicine Hospital by ambulances after receiving initial intervention from medical teams. It was learned that the injured, who are under treatment, remain in critical condition.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
