Tragic incident in Esenyurt! Driver who caused the death of a young child commits suicide

A driver who struck and killed a child playing in the street with their mother in Esenyurt committed suicide by locking himself inside his vehicle.

According to the information obtained, the incident occurred in Akçaburgaz Neighborhood. The cargo company driver, identified as Erdal Ç., who was driving his vehicle with license plate 34 LS 0371, struck a 3-year-old child named Ö.K. who was playing in the street with their mother.

While the child tragically lost their life at the scene, the driver, Erdal Ç., fled the scene in shock.

Driving a few streets away, the driver, Erdal Ç., pulled over and locked himself in the vehicle. Overcome by remorse, the driver, Erdal Ç., committed suicide by cutting his own throat with a knife. Upon reports from citizens, a large number of police teams were dispatched to the scene. The police investigation at the scene is ongoing.
