A two-story house in a rural area of Şanlıurfa's Bozova district collapsed, leaving 2 people dead and 8 others injured.
According to the information obtained, the incident occurred around 03:50 at night in the rural neighborhood of Deliler in the Bozova district of Şanlıurfa.
THEY CAME FROM OSMANIYE AND WERE TRAPPED UNDER THE RUBBLE
Fatma Aruk, who lives in Osmaniye, took her husband Serdar Aruk, their children Ahmet, Ayça, and Açelya, her sister-in-law Serap Urak (49), and her sister Dilber Bozkurt along with her children Arda and Emre Tuna to visit her mother, Cemile Arıkan (56), who lived alone in the neighborhood.

The house collapsed while the guests and the homeowner were asleep. Due to the incident, numerous AFAD, fire department, medical, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the region. The teams that arrived at the scene rescued 9 people in the initial response.

Homeowner Cemile Arıkan, who was among the injured taken to the hospital, lost her life. Serap Urak, who remained trapped underneath, was recovered dead following the efforts.

It was learned that the house had sustained moderate damage in the earthquake that occurred on February 6.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
